Welcome to Insurance By Design.  My name is Tammy Mentzel. I grew up in the cornfields of Nebraska but I have come to call North Carolina home! I am the wife of an amazing husband, mother of two, and a grandmother of 7 beautiful grandchildren from ages 21 to 3 years old. My family is my greatest love but on any given day you will find me playing in the dirt of the garden, repotting plants, or just enjoying our little farm.

I am a licensed insurance agent and appointed in multiple states. I specialize in Medicare benefits, and health and life insurance for the entire family. I hold a NC license for Life and Health insurance and certifications from the America’s Health Insurance Plans(AHIP) and am a Certified Senior Advisor. My passion is to help you  take the stress out of  the insurance process by educating you on all your options, and allowing you to decide what works best for you and your family. Every one of you has different needs and desires and I look forward to helping you find what you are looking for.

There is never a fee for my services and I am here to answer your questions and point you to the help you need if I cannot provide it.
